Sunset Series/ Mental Landscapes
The Sunset Series originally began as a way to explore the effects of commercials and media on society. The sunset colors were used as a metaphor for a fake, manufactured sense of happiness that was sold through commercials.
Later, the sunset colors evolved to represent an unattainable sense of well-being and happiness that surrounds us. This palette has become a major part of my visual language. I created a series of Mental Landscapes to reflect my state of mind at that point in time. |
