Biography

​Michelle Drummy is an artist and educator from San Diego, California. She received her MFA in 2021 from San Diego State University and received her BFA from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2010.   She served as Chairperson of the Visual and Performing Arts Department at St. Augustine High School where she taught drawing, painting and AP Art and Design from 2014-2024. Her work focuses on mental states. She explores the science behind mental illness as well as drawing from her own personal experiences to create pieces that honor both perspectives. She uses a variety of different media including but not limited to drawing, painting and photography. She has had solo shows at the University of California, Santa Barbara (2010) and San Diego State University (2019).
